Because submissions have already exceeded our expectations this year, and because we’re striving to grow Laugh Track in its 3rd season, we’ve decided to expand Laugh Track by an extra day this year! As a result, we’re moving our dates up a week to August 2nd-4th. This will allow us to showcase even more great films and comedians and make the festival experience that much bigger and better! We’re excited! Are you excited??
We’re extremely excited to announce that submissions are now open for our 2012 year! If you’re a comedy filmmaker or a stand up comedian, don’t wait to apply for this year’s festival. We have a ton of new things planned that will make this year even better than last! We’ll be making all kinds of announcements here on the blog, as well as on our Twitter and Facebook pages, so be sure to like, follow, subscribe and stay tuned! 2012 will be our funniest year yet!
Hello out there! Our sincerest apologies for being incommunicado lately. We’ve been busy the last few months planning our sister fest Festivus Film Festival, which is taking place this weekend! As a result, as you may have noticed, we haven’t yet announced our 2012 festival. We’ve gotten emails from people curious to know if it will be on again in 2012. Well it’s on, babies. We’ll be announcing all the details soon, but rest assured, you will laugh this year, if only during this one event (TBA). In the meantime, the best way to make sure you’re notified when submissions open, follow us on twitter, like us on Facebook, and stay tuned…
…But there are winners. Is there such a thing as collaborative competition? We like to think so. And I think we got to experience that this weekend. There was a tremendous show of support for our contenders and for comedy and film in general. Everyone performed at the top of their game, and the results were close. Our judges certainly had a tough time deciding. Here are the official winners, but as far as we’re concerned, our comedians’ and filmmakers’ moms and dads are the real winners. We hope they’re proud.
