July 23rd, 2010Breckenridge Brewery
July 22nd, 2010
There’s nothing like a cold beer and comedy on a warm July evening. Breckenridge Brewery is one of Festivus Film Festival’s oldest sponsors and they’ve generously continued their support by sponsoring Laugh Track as well. Breckenridge Brewery started back in 1990, and now they handcraft nearly 30,000 barrels of fresh beer each year, selling it across Colorado and 25 other states. Their wide variety of ales will be on sale this weekend at The Bug, so be sure to sip on one while you enjoy the show, and don’t be a stranger to their two Denver restaurant locations. Click on the logo above to visit their site, and check out their locations below. Thank you Breckenridge Brewery for many years of continued support. Cheers!

The Uncle Nasty Show 106.7 KBPI
July 20th, 2010Pretty cool day – Matt Need and Uncle Nasty at KBPI 106.7 welcomed our very own Tim DeMasters into their studio for a quick interview promoting Laugh Track. Huge thanks to them for having Tim on the show. The spot will air Tuesday, sometime between 6-7pm on the Uncle Nasty Show. Be sure to tune in! Matt will be performing at the 6:30pm block on Saturday, and we guarantee you won’t want to miss him. Buy your tickets early to guarantee yourself a seat.
Matt Need, producer and co-host of the Uncle Nasty Show on Denver’s 106.7 KBPI, has been performing stand-up and improv comedy for 20 years. A veteran of Chicago’s iO Improv and a road-savvy tour manager for several rock bands, Mr. Need has no patience for human stupidity and very little love for anyone but himself.

The Bug Theatre
July 9th, 2010
Never been to The Bug Theatre before? Not only will it be the home for the inaugural Laugh Track Comedy Festival, but it’s also been one of the venues for Festivus Film Festival over the past few years. This theatre has a rich history that you may not know, even if you’ve been there before. Originally built in 1912 as a nickelodeon movie house, the theatre now known as The Bug survived multiple incarnations and more than 25 years of dormancy before being renovated in 1994 when the Bug Performance & Media Art Center (BPMAC) was founded. Though recognized as an important Denver alternative arts center, the organization floundered financially. In 1998, Donna Morrison and Alex Weimer took on the roles of Artistic Director and Technical Director, respectively, and founded the resident Bug Theatre Company (BTC). The company flourished and gained critical acclaim & financial stability. Today it continues to foster a supportive community of artists in Denver by providing the opportunity for the development of unique voices, a diverse audience, and dynamic programming. Thank you to The Bug Theatre for hosting the inaugural Laugh Track Comedy Festival. Only two weeks until the big event and we can’t wait to show some funny films to the Denver audience and see all of the comedians rock it on stage!
Update: Schedule Change
July 6th, 2010With less than three weeks until the festival, we’ve been busy showering Denver with our fliers. However, we’ve made a schedule change that didn’t make it onto the fliers and we’d like to correct it here. At the 9pm block, from the comedy group I Stole Your Baby, Don-John Kulish and Kyle Bufkin are listed to perform, but sadly will not be. You’ll still be seeing their comedic talents aplenty with their appearances in the I Stole Your Baby compilation video, “Thoughts from a Lavish Study.” Nate Balding, on the other hand, is missing on the fliers and he will be performing stand-up during that block. What Nate lacks in charm and style, he makes up for in hilarity, so you don’t want to miss him. All of the guys with I Stole Your Baby have been working really hard, compiling their best sketches, filming new ones, and putting it all together for your viewing pleasure. We’re excited to have them as a part of Laugh Track! All of the information on our website is correct and tickets are now available. So, feel free to get to know the guys from I Stole Your Baby a little too well by checking out their hilarious bios under the “Schedule/Tix” tab, and then under the 9pm block on Friday. While you’re there, you can also save yourself a couple bucks and guarantee a funny Friday evening by purchasing tickets now!
